Teach-back in K-12 and Beyond
Teach-back method heavily influences healthcare practitioners when presenting healthcare literacy and it requires a level of skill that must be acquired in order to be practiced effectively. In classroom applications, it would require the same degree of experience to translate the method into an appropriate teaching technique. Below, you will find some of the advantages and disadvantages of the method as well as potential classroom applications.

Teach-back in K-12 Education - Creative Game-play
Teach-back can be applied through play based learning techniques in addition to the structured conversations we have as educators. Below is an example of a method of applying teach-back through a game which has academic value and a fun element to it. The images preview the game and a file is also attached for a full version of the game, created on PowerPoint. After sampling the game, evaluate the games effectiveness as a teach-back tool and how the elements of the game fall in-line with the teach-back method. Please add any additional comments you may have.

Teachback in K-12 Education - Instructional "How-to's"
As educators, we should come to understand that every learner has a different profile and we must adapt in order to provide a fair education for all. In this example, we share a school project done at Frank Hurt Secondary School, where trades students in the Automotive program provide a "teach-back" experience to other students and their instructor through a series of homemade instructional videos. The video attached is just one of many student examples of "teach-back" and you may browse through their channel to find a collection of these instructional how-to videos. After viewing at least one video, evaluate the video's effectiveness as a teach-back tool and how they fall in-line with the teach-back method. Please add any additional comments you may have.

Teach-back in K-12 Education - Conflict Resolution Technique
Up to this point, we have explored teach-back as a method of scholastic transfer of knowledge. However, one additional education potential we can explore is the ability for it to be used in a psychological method. In the video below, you will view Diane Gossen, a trained psychologist, apply a pseudo teach-back technique to help a troubled student understand the mistake he has made and to own up to his responsibilities. Once you have viewed the video, please provide your critique of the video as a teach-back method as per the previous two examples.
